Finished downloads clear in Opera?

is it possible to make it so that when something is downloaded it clears out of the transfer tab??

i have to click cleared finished manually all the time

No, its not possible in Opera to clear finished transfers automatically as soon as they are downloaded. However you can try changing this setting:

Type in 'opera:config' (without quotes) in address bar of opera. Now in the 'quick find' search bar type in 'entries' (w/o quotes).You can see that keep entries days is set to 7 by default . This means the days to keep entries in transfer manager. You can lower this setting and check. Lower it to say 1 and check if it automatically deletes the entries after a day! Or change this to 0 and check. even try -1 and check.

I'll explain two different workarounds now ( I don't know if you already know about this)

1)Instead of clearing all finished transfers from the transfers tab, you could also try this: click on Tools -%26gt; Delete private data -%26gt; details -%26gt; Now here make sure only clear history of file transfers is selected -%26gt; Click 'delete' . So this is also a way of clearing the transfers although its still a manual way!

2)You can add a button in the transfers window to clear the finished transfers and close the transfers tab! I find this a better way of clearing transfers. To do this, first go here: http://homepage.hispeed.ch/ttt-opera/but...

Now simply click whatever button you want among those listed. It'll ask you to proceed, just click yes. Now you'll see the appearance dialog popup and the button will be added under 'my buttons' . Now open the transfers tab(ctrl+alt+t) and drag that button to the Transfers tab alongside the buttons (stop, retransfer, view ..etc) and hit OK. So , whenever you wanna clear finished transfers and also close the transfers tab, just hit this button...voila!
