madame butterfly is my favorite
Soap
The On going McCann saga
Oh wow!
I saw Madame Butterfly in the same arena and it was one of the most evocative experiences ever. Absolutely out of this world. I've tried to watch opera over here but it just insn't the same cooped up inside a theatre.
Save up and go back next year. :)
The Magic Flute by Mozart. Avoid Wagner until your a bit more into it, it can put you off opera forever.
Un ballo in maschera
Aida
Anything by Mozart, especially The Marriage of Figaro or Don Giovanni
Rigoletto
Don Giovanni (Mozart) - absolutely loved it!
Madame Butterfly.
Carmen, 30 years ago with Placido Domingo, in Edinburgh Scotland
worked on costumes for it and was in the flies throwing down confetti for the toreador scene wonderful memories!
Bizet's Carmen is a great starter...
You have to see Aida in Egypt... although not one of my favourite operas just to see it in that location was absolutely mind blowing
