Whats your favorite soap opera and why?

General Hospital is my favorite soap opera because it has some very talented actors that have been there a long time. It also supports real life situations by acting them out. Some examples are HIV, Cancer, people that have been hurt by rape and many more. At the end of the episodes it does public announcements where people can get help in those situations. Plus, I love Maurice Bernard.

I love Passions because I love the actors and actresses. They are great and even though people are always talking about Passions negatively, it is still my favorite soap and I will always love it!

Coronation Street - it is real and no dramatics
I love Y%26amp;R because it's so real unlike the other soaps. I can really get into y%26amp;r like it's real life. I like the diversity of characters, I also like how they have more than ONE black person on there unlike the others. The characters are easy to love and easy to hate. Bottom Line
My favorite soap opera was "La Fea Mas Bella" (It ended last week.) It is the Mexican comedic telenovela version of "Ugly Betty". It was funny and emotionally moving at the same time. I found myself rooting for some and booing at others. I usually don't like soaps but this one was really charming.
My fave show is Young and Restless. I have been watching it since it debuted in 1973 when I was 12. I love the characters and up till recently it wasn't too far fetched in story lines like other soaps are
The Young and the Restless because it has always been so real, and everyone on the soap is an excellent actor or actress.
Y%26amp;R, because its the only soap that still has a little class left.
General Hospital. They always keep things happening and it never gets boring. On a lot of soaps they do the same crap over %26amp; over..... Plus I LOVE Jason Morgan.
The Young and The Restless: I dunno, It's just very interesting and always has a new story going on, so you won't be bored with others.

Passions: I like Just cause i can get a good laugh outta some of the crap that happens in Harmony LOL

I love OLTL and GH. GH is the best soap ever. GH has the best storylines and the best actors/actresses. And there's mob drama, it doesn't get any better than that.
GH. the storylines are more character driven and never over the top. They deal with current issues really well, like aides or breast cancer and abortion.
Guilding Light My mom %26amp; I use to watch it together.
The Young and the Restless. I have been watching this show for over 20 years (I started watching when I was 10 years old with my mother.). It is the best soap opera ever!! The have the best actors and actresses. There is never a dull day on the show. Their episodes are always action packed. They bring up a lot of real life issues. The actors and actresses can make you feel exactly what their character is going through. This show also has a lot of good looking people.

Young and the Restless. I have been watching the show regularly since 1987 or 1988 (somewhere in there) but I really have been watching it most of my life. I like most of the characters and they don't really have as many people dying and coming back to life until recently.

I used to be a fan of Another World and Santa Barbara as well. And Search for Tomorrow, The Doctors and Days of Our Lives, but that was a very very long time ago.
Days of Our Lives! they always have an interesting storyline and you never know what's going to happen next. Been watching it for years!
